Michael has a history of success in leading large multi-channel teams in CRM database implementations and data warehouse development. He is passionate about data hygiene and data enrichment, as his record of accomplishments would suggest.

Throughout his career, he has worked with multiple organizations, implementing robust data governance processes that have led to enhanced results, an increase in revenue, and heightened constituent satisfaction. 

He is frequently requested to present and speak on actionable steps for data hygiene and systems integration to support the constituent journey and business intelligence needs at high-profile industry conferences, such as NTEN, Blackbaud User Conference, Personify Conference, and more. 

A proven leader, Michael is often called upon to lead multi-department workgroups to assure that CRM implementations and enhancements and data needs and processes are met to help inform, measure, and benchmark organization initiatives.

Background

Michael began his career at Harte-Hanks Response Management, working with large financial and technology companies. After a short stint with W.A. Wilde/L.W. Robbins, he had the opportunity to work with some nonprofit clients. 

That experience sparked his career trajectory, and he has worked with nonprofits ever since. Michael was then subsequently recruited to work at Target Software, where he quickly climbed the ranks to lead a production team at Target Software’s Managed Services division.

For the next five years, Michael led a team on implementing systems for several large nonprofits from legacy systems to team approach. After implementation, he managed all aspects of their data hygiene needs as well as data import/export.

Michael spent the next 12 years at the Alzheimer’s Association National Office as the senior director of business intelligence and system integration, leading a team of 22 IT professionals.

The Firm’s Foundation

In late 2019, Michael founded 501 Data Solutions, a professional services company dedicated to supporting nonprofit organizations. It is primarily focused on data governance, data quality management, and systems integration.

Personal Life

Michael currently serves on the board of a Florida-based nonprofit called Perpetual Care and volunteers as a guardian ad litem for the Polk County FL courts system. In his spare time, he spends time with his family and pets and enjoys golf and darts recreationally.
